A Compact but Spacious Bag
TheTomToc bagis one of myremote work essentials. It’scompact, but it holds everything I need without feeling cramped. Theinternal layout keeps things organized, so I don’t have to dig forcables or accessories. It also has enoughpadding to protect my gearwithout adding extra weight.
My Primary Work Device: MacBook Air (13-inch)
TheMacBook Air (13-inch)is mygo-to laptop. It’spowerful enough for everything I do, yetlight enough to carry anywhere. Thebattery life is excellent, so I don’t have to worry about constantly finding a power outlet.
I’ve tested other laptops, but theMacBook Airis thebest work travel techbased onperformance, size, and portability. For work or travel gear, it just works.
Why the iPad Pro (11-inch) Didn’t Work for Me
I’ve tried using theiPad Pro (11-inch)as alaptop replacement. I love itssize, and theform factor is great. But for my workflow, it falls short.
The biggest issue?Google Suite. Since most of my work relies onGoogle Docs, Sheets, and other cloud-based tools, I needfull functionality. The iPad doesn’t quite deliver the same experience as alaptop. It’s great forreading, note-taking, or sketching, but when it comes todeep work,MacBookis the best work travel tech.
A Tech Pouch That Holds Everything
TheTech Pouchis one of my most useful remote work essentials. It’scompactbut holds asurprising amount of gear. Inside, I carry:
- Charging cablesfor all my devices
- Pens and pencilsfor quick notes
- AirPodsfor calls and focus time
- A full battery packfor when I can’t find an outlet
Even whenfully packed, my work and travel gear compress down, so it doesn’t take up too much space. It keeps all mysmall accessories in one place, so I never have tosearch for cablesat the bottom of my bag.
