As a B2B strategist, staying organized is key to getting things done effectively. Over the years, I’ve developed a simple B2B productivity system that helps me manage tasks, meetings, and creative thinking. It’s called the three-notebook system, and it has been a game changer for me and my clients.
Looking for ways to streamline your sales and marketing processes with B2B organizational tools? Schedule a Discovery Call to explore practical strategies that can boost your efficiency.
1. Horizontally Oriented Meeting Notes Notebook
The first notebook is a horizontally oriented one, different from the typical vertical layout most people use. I keep it right under my keyboard, which makes it easy to grab during meetings or sales calls. This notebook serves as my scratch pad—perfect for jotting down quick notes, key takeaways, or ideas that come up during conversations. Having a meeting notes notebook helps me stay organized and keep all relevant information in one place.
2. Thinking Journal for Creative Work
The next of my B2B organization tools is my Thinking Journal. This notebook is part of a Lockby system and is designed for when I need to disconnect from digital distractions and dive into creative thinking. I use high-quality paper and a nice pen, which adds to the process. When I sit down to brainstorm, plan, or simply think through ideas, this is where it happens. The Thinking Journal helps me go deeper into projects and allows me to be more intentional with my work.
3. Daily To-Do List Notebook
The final part of the B2B productivity system is a small notebook for my daily to-do list. It’s tiny but effective. I limit myself to just a few key tasks per day—usually no more than four. This forces me to focus on the most important things I need to get done. By keeping my to-do list short, I can avoid feeling overwhelmed and ensure I’m making meaningful progress on my priorities.
